Info-Scape consultants were engaged by a major software vendor to perform a performance review and propose improvements to their flagship product. The performance enhancements included freeing the product from requiring an application server to run, implementing a new distributed queue workload managment architecture and streamlining XML processing.

Overall the result was a 10-30% improvement in overall performance (depending on the benchmark used), a dramatic improvement in the product's ability to manage mixed workloads and a simplified cluster architecture.

The client also saved several hundred thousand dollars in licenses and reduced testing effort as a result of removing the requirement to run in a J 2 EE application server.
